Who let the wolves out?!

Got to play against the wolves player the other day and I haven't gotten around posting about it yet.

His list was the following. ;

Wolf lord on thunder wolf and thunder hammer and storm shield

5 terminators with an assault cannon

5 thunder wolves with power fist and SS

2x 5 grey hunters 

5 long fangs missiles las and plasma cannon

A priest 

And a Knight paladin. 

With a list like that I thought he was a more experienced player but he haven't played that many games prior to this. 

I brought mr pincy and friends.

1 greater brass scorpion of khorne.

the saddest part of the game was that he used blu tac to keep his models together and none of them were based and just base coated. No shades or highlights in sight :( that makes baby Jesus cry!

i start the game by charging up with my flesh hounds into his terminators thinking that with 13x3 attacks that hits on a 3+ and wounds on a 3+ i should wipe them out with some luck in my dice.

I only manage to kill a single one. then he charged in with his cavalry and killed them of with ease.

the scorpion shot a large ignores cover blast on his grey hunters with the priest that were "hiding" in a ruin, giving first blood and a maelstrom point.

i summoned a couple of daemonettes and a herald of nurgle who came with the portal glyph.

his knight dindnt manage to do any wounds to the screamers who were grimiored and cursed earthed ;) (chocking, right?!)

the scorpion tried to blast the wolves but scattered :( and then got charged by the wolves.

with 30ish s 10 attacks i whought it was a gonner but i buffed it with grimiore and cursed earth so with a 2+ he only got 2 glaces that i Fateweavered into 1 glance. i then proceed to stomp his whole unit to death in two turns.

the screamers went and ate his Dreadnaught and turbo boosted into his deployment zone to get the rear on his knight, (not that it matters but having weird tentacle things up its but is more fun then not.

i also charged in with my Scorpion since it would be bad manner not to let the gargantuan fight it out in the middle 

the first round i manage to remove all but one hull point, and the following turn i made it explode.. he rolled a 5 on the catastrophic table and then rolled a hit, and made it so that the scorpion and 3-4 screamers were under the D... and rolled a six.. making the scorpion go BOOOM!

taking them both out with one hit. :) a nice ending to a brutal match.

i gave him some pointers on how to make his models look more tabletop ready with washed and stuff. and i hope he will take my advice since i don't like to play against unfinished stuff.

we used the large blast to determine were the D circle went. ( we don't have the huge templates yet, but i have ordered them :)

but all in all it was a good game and we both had fun :) i told him what he did wrong and how i would've played with his army agains my army since he said that it seemed impossible to beat. i wanted to make a fun Nurlge list but when he told me what his list would include i dind want to die round three so i matched him in power. 

Next time i will probably take a more friendly list :)
