Lord of change Update 1

So i have finished assembly on the Lord of Change and it came together without any big problems, i replaced the base with an oval one of course and was first conflicted if i wanted a 170mm Knight base (as the Kytan in the picture has) or a 120mm "flying base" and i chose the smaller one since it will make it look more coherent with the rest of the Daemon lords and since i will most likely use this model as a regular lord of change or as Kairos Fateweaver (i know he only has 1 head but tzeench works in mysterious ways)

the only problem i had was with the spike and icon that is supposed to go in the staff was made of rather thin resin and didn't look good so i opted to not attach it.

I also tried to magnetize the horror spawning in its hand for more easy transport but the magnets i had were to weak. I will try with a stronger one but if it doesn't work i will glue it.
Its not like the Slaanesh one is easy to transport either.

as you can see ive not attached the wings so i can paint them much more easy and i will try my rainbow pattern, but i will finish the inside of one wing first to see how it will look so i can rethink it if it looks bad.

Also the little claw thing holding a ball is painted separate. The little cluster of bird heads that are supposed to be attached to his right arm on the chain under the horror conjuring hand i opted to attach them to his belt since it will most likely fall of during play. its not like the metal balls of the bloodthirster who are harder to reach and accidentally snap of since they would be so exposed. it will look great one painted :)

I got a couple of layers of blue done last night and i will wash it with some blue wash tonight since i only had purple wash at hand.

  1. I knew he was big, but I didn't know he was that big! Looking forward to the rainbow!
